Favorite things: She was a nut for toys. She loved to eat and won the record for fastest eater in the family. Play was part of who she was as my littlest person in the pack.
Penny, CGD (Chief Guard Dog)
Never an unsafe moment when Miss Penny is around. She guarded the entire family when they were all there. She is often found pacing the house on duty and sneaks in a nap on occasion. The coyotes do not stand a chance against her. Penny is from the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue in NC.

Favorite things: She loves chasing her friends down the fence line, barking all the way. Penny is also known for having her head hanging out the back of the truck window at all times and all speeds. She does not miss a beat.
Charlie, CNO (Chief Nonchalant Officer) R. I. P.
If you could describe the most laid-back doggie, that would be Charlie. He was independent and did his own thing. Having bad hips at an early age, Charlie was the first in NC to undergo Stem Cell Transplant. He romped, played and had fun and enjoyed long stretches out on the floor where you

He romped, played and had fun and enjoyed long stretches out on the floor where you would swear he looked like a bear skin rug. Charlie was from the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue.
Favorite things: When there was opportunity for a fun dog snack, he would howl and let you know he was ready. Charlie loved to take up two dog beds when napping, giving him an alternative name of “Two Bed Charlie.”
Hoover, CKO (Chief Kindness Officer) R. I. P.
So many loving words described CKO. He was kind, loving, always aware of things happening to others around him and the best little snuggler. He became Chef Hoover when it was time to make puppy cookies and he never missed a walk. He was always present and around at all times. Hoover was adopte

So many loving words described CKO. He was kind, loving, always aware of things happening to others around him and the best little snuggler. He became Chef Hoover when it was time to make puppy cookies and he never missed a walk. He was always present and around at all times. Hoover was adopted as a puppy from a breeder in AZ.
Favorite things: He loved toys and neck rubs. Sniffing and poking around the yard gave him much pleasure. Hoover welcomed a good bath and a snout full of kisses.
Dr. Barb, CAL (Chief Animal Lover and Fairy Barb Mother) grew up with small animals, hamsters, lots and lots of them. Her first larger animals were cats who graced her presence for over 20 years. Along the way she adopted her first rescue Aspen who was a smart, fun, and super athletic companion on her long hikes in the Colorado mountains.

Along the way she adopted her first rescue Aspen who was a smart, fun, and super athletic companion on her long hikes in the Colorado mountains. Ladybug came along years after Aspen and she has learned to train, embrace and love each animal for their unique personalities and qualities. Both of her doggies spent months and months in shelters. She would love to see homes for all of the beautiful and very patient animals waiting long times in shelters for love they so deserve.
